Geeta Publishing House was founded by Mr. O.P.Gupta, a teacher in Delhi along with a few of his friends, who were also teachers. They published the first book in 1978. In the beginning GPH published books only in Commerce, Accountancy, Business Management and Economics. Till next eight years they kept on publishing the books on the above four subjects for Class XI & XII (CBSE) only.
